Working some things out.
Month 2, Day 13
The reoccurring challenge to not make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings.
Month 2, Day 12
Garbage bag studies.
Months 2, Day 11
A little here and there.
Month 2, Day 10
Back at the lab, another day another shoe.
Month 2, Day 9
Pretty tired, been up since before 5 and spent the day onsite for a project. It's days like this that are particularly challenging to a daily commitment to work on something. About all I could muster up was to work on this shoe for about half an hour but something is better than nothing.
Month 2, Day 8
Where ever I'm going with this I'm getting there slowly but surely.
Month 2, Day 7
Rebuilding things from memory. With only 12 pieces in this series I'm narrowing my focus to the exploration of formative experiences and memories, needless to say there is a lot of digging involved.
Month 2, Day 6
Last month I started with a base wash and realized it was a mistake so I didn't get to enjoy that fact that working on a primed wood panel is very similar to working on paper.
Month 2, Day 5
Tacked this together earlier.
After a few years of posting daily progress updates of whatever it is I'm doing my favorite by far is the short but precise "Working."
Month 2, Day4
I'm doing this backwards but I didn't have time to frame this panel out beforehand. I knew I would get to it eventually but trying to work on it unframed was pretty floppy. All part of the process.
Month 2, Day 3
False expectations of progress rob you of the fulfillment of the real progress that has been made.
Month 2, Day 2
Late start today but it's a start.
Month 2, Day 1
A new beginning. It's nice to have worked my way through one in this series. I'm feeling a strong sense of direction for this as well as adding a new level of documentation.
Month 1, Day 30
Month 1 complete.
They Will Chase You If You Run
48" x 36"
ink, acrylic and spray enamel on wood.
Month 1, Day 29
Working.
Month 1, Day 28
It turns out a month is not that long. I can't speak for those of you following along but it flew by for me. 2 days to go.
Month 1, Day 27
Foot working. The closer I get to the end the smaller the things that need to be done.
Month 1, Day 26
Tightening things up over here. Drawing hands used to be pretty frustrating so some time ago I just decided I would draw them all the time
Month 1, Day 25
This could be done, art works like that some times even if I usually don't. Maybe it's the Midwest work ethic or maybe I just don't know when to quit
