Daily work.
Head in the clouds.
Things as they currently stands.
This did not make it into the work last month but I think it may work well here.
Studio cleanup. The battle against the ever encroaching, progress debilitating mess. First attempt this year.
Making progress.
Working.
Man, this has been me all year so far for sure, but I am feeling a bit more clear headed tonight. I was going through some sketches and came across this and it seems like the right move.
More paints.
One is more toxic that the other.
And this is how this has begun.
Blank slate, fresh start, new year.
Not much studio time today. Check with me tomorrow for the final call on this months piece and the fresh start for the new year.
Month 9 Complete.
The Best Laid Plans
48' x 36'
ink, acrylic, and spray enamel on wood panel
For a while I've tried to work on the pieces in this series in the same way that I've worked on smaller things and in some ways, the way I've worked on bigger things but this size really require it's own approach and I'm still figuring it out.
I've had a crummy cold the last few day but I but I decided to get in some lab time despite the germs.
I've been feeding the squirrels Christmas cookies and cinnamon rolls. I also gave them a McDonald's apple pie. I've been putting them on my window sill and me and Patches the Cat have been watching them carry them off. I'm going to work one of these studies in somehow.
I have a few days to try and pull this together. It will be the last thing I work on this year, well almost. I'll be live panting into the new year but as far as studio work goes this will be the last I suspect.
Back to this. Took the day off yesterday.
Studio time, I may not get any tomorrow.
Getting some time in on this.
Working.
