Honestly the best part of being a working artist is getting to actually work as an artist, something I often forget when deadlines are looming and sorting through red tape and all the very practical and often tedious realities of what it means to make this work fill much of my time. I'm thankful for the occasional moments of clarity. If it is indeed true that absence makes the heart grow fonder then perhaps it's the rarity of these moments that allow me to appreciate them at all? Nevertheless I am grateful when they come, now back to work.

I've been having fun working on this one so far. It's a nice contrast to the other thing I'm working on right now. It's nice to be able to try to adjust your disposition in this way but sadly I'm not very good at it. Perhaps by the end of this all I will be able to say otherwise.
Week 30 of the 52 week project complete.
In Need of Light

I always want to explore working with my own method of under painting but only occasionally get to work it out to the level I would like to. I’m trying to have all the gray scale stuff done at least a day before the end of this week so I have a day to focus only on color.
