I like this kind of tedious detail work for some reason. Perhaps it because in order to draw things like this you have to understand how it functions and that is engaging to process mentally? Sorry, just rambling.

Third pass on this today. I think this is as far as I need to go before I rework it for the final size. I have to say there is a certain satisfaction from working and reworking things until they feel right. I'm not sure how many time you could do it since what looks finished to you one day might look like it needs something else the next.
